Carl Curtis, DVM
Veterinarian and Founder

Carl grew up in southern Louisiana surrounded by animals of many kinds. He knew from a young age that he loved animals. Carl spent his childhood rescuing stray dogs and cats, rehabilitating wildlife, and spending occasional summers at his Uncle Kent’s dairy farm in northeast Texas. A strong human-animal bond was made with these variety of animals and experiences that have led to his passion for veterinary medicine. 

He then attended undergraduate at University of Louisiana at Lafayette and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then attended Veterinary School at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). After graduation, he moved to East Texas working in a general practice with emergency shifts. Carl and his family then moved to Frisco, Texas where he practiced and managed a hospital for over 7 years.

Carl always had a desire to own his practice and give pet owners and pets the local, family-oriented care that corporately owned clinics do not offer. He also enjoys teaching his team and other veterinarians about veterinary medicine. He regularly has veterinary students spending time at his clinic to learn and grow in their path to becoming practicing veterinarians. 

Carl enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, diagnostic imaging, pathology and internal medicine.

Carl met and began dating his wife, Courtney, when they were in 8th grade and throughout high school. Coutney and Carl are now married and have four children, John, Nathaniel, Charlotte and Emma Jean. He also has two dogs, Ford and Douglas, and three cats, June, Moses and Fred. He enjoys spending time outdoors and restoring classic cars.
